For me, this game is a little miracle, because this is the first project whic I have completed completely after several years of studying the craft of the game development and various abandoned demos. Gameplay lasts for about five minutes max, the balance of waves is wry, annoying music, SFX of different volumes, inane bugs (in January 2024 I released a small update, some bugs were obliterated, but the remaining ones are unlikely to be fixed, since I won’t even touch the source code anymore). Even considering all this, I am very glad that it exists. It works, is relatively stable, and most importantly - is quite fun to play. I am biased: give me the abilities for time control and teleportation, and I will already be delighted.
This note wouldn’t exist, if not one coincidence: In the plot of my TTRPG, which took place this Sunday, Cyn (the protagonist of Wodwex, her name is not mentioned anywhere, except in sprites and code) was an NPC, so I had drawn a portrait for her token. It can be considered an anniversary illustration.
This is the last update on this version of the site. Now I am remaking it for the Hugo engine and preparing a little design update. There will be more notes (because it will be easier to write them, Hugo generates a static site from the Markdown files), I’ll add separate pages for games (for now there is only the link to Itch.io) and new sections. My next project (it is difficult to call this a game) is in development, but it will not be finished for a really long time, so I will elaborate much, though I consider it necessary to say something after several months of silence. To be fair, it’s not like someone have been waiting for any news.
